All set to celebrate Tagore’s birth anniversary

Different organisations will celebrate the 159th birth anniversary of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore today organising online cultural shows and TV channels will telecast special programmes comprising teleplays, dance shows and music shows.

Cultural organisation Chhayanaut will celebrate the day organising a special programme titled ‘Oi Mohamanab Ase’, which will be streamed on Chhayanaut’s YouTube channel named CHHAYANAUT DIGITAL-PLATFORM at 9:00 am.

Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre will celebrate the day organising an online seminar which will be streamed on its Facebook page at 7:30 pm.

Theatre troupe Bottala will organise a programme titled ‘Galpo, Kotha O Kobita, Amader Kabiguru  Rabindranath’ which will be streamed on the Facebook page of BotTala at 8:00 pm.

Dance troupe Bhabna, led by dancer Samina Husain Prema, will celebrate the day uploading a video containing selected part from the troupe’s acclaimed dance drama ‘Bhanusingher Padabali’. It will be uploaded on Prema’s Facebook page. Besides, different television channels will telecast special programmes marking the day.

Channel-i will air special episode of ‘Tarakakathan’ at 12:30 pm. The channel will also telecast a music show where singers Sadi Mohammad, Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Rathindranath Roy, Chandana Majumder, Kiran Chandra Roy and others will render Tagore songs.

NTV will air dance show ‘Joy Jayanti’ at 10:30 am. The channel will telecast ‘Detective’, based on a story of Rabindranath Tagore, at 2:35 pm and teleplay ‘Laboratory’ at 9:00 pm.

ATN Bangla will air a music show titled ‘Mone Ki Dwidha’ at 8:00 pm. Besides, the channel will telecast teleplay ‘Uddhar’ at 9:00 pm.

RTV will air teleplay ‘Tapasbini’, directed by Sumon Anwar, at 8:00 pm.

Desh TV will air music show ‘Priyojoner Gaan’ at 3:00 pm.
