GEN Lab is a youth led social enterprise that initiated an urban art-based project, to be started from the early May, namely ‘Peace Caravan; supported by Partnerships for a Tolerant and Inclusive Bangladesh’. On this project Gen Lab focuses on ‘promoting just, peaceful and inclusive societies’ which is the number 16 among the sustainable development goals.
The particular project is designed to curate creative artworks through few selective numbers of bus, rickshaw and other transport medium inside Dhaka metropolitan area.
The artworks are meant for promoting peaceful and inclusive community living, religious harmony, equal rights and empowerment for women, environment and climate friendly lifestyle for ensuring sustainable urban living, waste management and accessibility of persons with physical challenges in accordance with the Constitution of Bangladesh.
Digital media activity will be undertaken from May, 2020 through Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Keeping COVID-19 situation in concern, Gen Lab primarily aims to aware urban citizen about key messages through different digital mediums.
Core objective of Peace Caravan is to inspire and educate urban youth and professionals to adapt with a sustainable, inclusive and peaceful social living, through means of art and digital presence.
Gen Lab aims to create a platform for Bangladeshi youth to engage in social development process of the country by means of acting together to bring about positive change.
United Nations Development Program is providing strategic and monetary support to the organisation for implementing the project.
