Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain on Monday extended the closure of all courts till April 13 as the government earlier extended the public holidays till the day due to the outbreak of coronavirus, according to a circular of the Supreme Court.
On Sunday the government declared April 12 and 13 general holidays after an increase in the coronavirus infections.
April 14, the first day of Bangla calendar and a scheduled holiday, will be added to the public holidays, said the circular issued by SC registrar general Md Ali Akbar.
Earlier on March 23, the government declared general holidays from March 26 to April 4 and later extended the holidays until April 9.
