Recitation artiste Fakhrul Islam Tara dies

Fakhrul Islam Tara

Recitation artiste Fakhrul Islam Tara passed away at a hospital in the capital on Sunday afternoon. He was 48.

‘Tara was died at 12:15pm. He has been suffering with liver, kidney disease along with other health complexities for a long time,’ Ahkam Ullah, Bangladesh Abritti Samannay Parishad general secretary told New Age.

Fakhrul Islam Tara was a news room editor at International Desk of ATN News. He was an executive member of Bangladesh Abritti Samannay Parishad and Srot Abritti Sangsad. He has directed several recitations productions:  ‘Desh Jiboner Gan’, ‘Mapa Hasi Chapa Kanna’, ‘Chena Kotha Ochena Shur’, ‘Fire Asho Arbare’,‘Bishow Manus Dibosh’ and others.

‘He is a responsible person and one of the best trainers of our troupe. I worked with him for long time. He was one of the idols for me,’ said recitation artiste Mahfuz Islam.

His first namaz-e-janaza was held on the premises of ATN News at Karwan Bazer after Asor prayer on Sunday. He will be buried at Bauphal upazila in Patuakhali. 

He is survived by his wife and two children.
