Govt sends new ambassadors to Qatar, Greece

The government has appointed new ambassadors to Qatar and Greece.

M Jashim Uddin, currently serving as the country’s ambassador to Greece, has been made the new ambassador to the State of Qatar, said a foreign ministry press release.

Ashud Ahmed , currently serving as the country’s ambassador to Qatar, has been made the new ambassador to Greece, said another press release by the ministry.

Jashim will replace Ashud as the ambassador to Qatar, and Ashud will replace Jashim as the ambassador to Greece.

Both Jashim and Ashud belong to the 13th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service Foreign Affairs Cadre.

And they both graduated from Dhaka University with bachelor and master’s degrees in international relations. Jashim has another master’s degree in modern international relations from Leeds University in England.

Jashim served in various capacities in Bangladesh missions in New Delhi, Tokyo, Washington DC and Islamabad and at different wings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka.

Ashud served the Bangladesh missions in New York, Colombo, Brussels and Hong Kong in difference capacities. 

Jashim received Bangladesh Public Administration Award in 2018 for innovative services at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Athens.
