The government has appointed M Riaz Hamidullah, a career diplomat, as the new ambassador of Bangladesh to the Netherlands, according to a foreign ministry press release.
Riaz, a government official who belongs to the 15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (foreign affairs), is currently serving as the high commissioner of Bangladesh to Sri Lanka.
He served in various capacities in Bangladesh mission in New Delhi, Bangladesh’s permanent mission in New York and at the foreign ministry. He was also a director at SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu.
