Greece-based online radio Poets-Radio.net broadcast two Bangla poems penned by poet Shakhawat Tipu at a special programme marking World Poetry Day on Saturday.
Recording of Tipu reciting poems ‘Amra Kather Bishwa’ and ‘Kobir Mrityu Katha’, from his collections of poems Rajar Kangkal, was broadcast at the show, which also featured poems in diverse languages recited by poets from Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy and others.
‘I feel honoured to have had the opportunity to represent Bangladesh at the programme which featured poems in diverse languages spoken across the globe. This type of programme play an important role in promoting Bangla poems in the global arena,’ uttered Shakhawat Tipu.
‘Rajar Kangkal’ contains 47 poems. It was published during the Ekushey Book Fair.
