A theatrical production titled ‘Shatabdir Mahanayak’ will be aired on all television channels marking country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary, says a press release.
The production has been written and directed by the director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Liaquat Ali Lucky.
‘Shatabdir Mahanayak’ gives the viewers a glimpse into Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s life and works.
Over a thousand artistes have participated in the production which was shot at National Parade Ground from March 14-16.
National professor Rafiqul Islam, cultural personality Assaduzzaman Noor and chief coordinator of the Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary celebration national implementation committee Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury are the advisors of the production.
‘The production will be aired as part of the national programme marking Bangabandhu’s 100th birth anniversary at 8:00pm on all television channels. We have recorded the production in the last three days at the National Parade Ground from March 14-16,’ Hasan Mahmud, public relation officer of BSA, told New Age.
