Art competition held at Islamic University

An art competition was held at Islamic University in Kushtia on Sunday amid festivity and enthusiasm.

Islamic University authorities organised the event at the Islamic University Laboratory School & College marking country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary and National Children’s Day.

IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the competition as chief guest with the competition convener Professor M Mamunur Rahman in the chair.

IU pro-vice-chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, treasurer Professor M Selim Toha and syndicate member Professor M Mahbubar Rahman spoke as special guests.

IU Officers’ Association president Alamgir Hossain Khan conducted the programme while Bangabandhu Parisad president Professor Ruhul KM Saleh, hall provost council president Professor Tapan Kumar Joadder, IU acting additional registrar M Nawab Ali were present on the occasion.

Around two hundred students of the school participated in the competition.
