A Bangladeshi-British man died of coronavirus on Sunday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the United Kingdom, reports the BBC.
He was the third patient who died of coronavirus infection in the UK.
The deceased, aged around 60, arrived in the UK on February 29 after a short trip to Italy, BBC Bangla reported quoting his son.
He added that his father was admitted to North Manchester General Hospital on March 3 and that was his last meeting with the family.
A further 69 people were tested positive of coronavirus infection in the UK, taking the total number of infected patients to 278, as per the data provided by the department of health and social care, the report says.
The victim was the first Bangladeshi who died of coronavirus infection.
According to the latest health bulletin of the Bangladeshi government, three people have been infected with the virus to date while 48 others have been kept under observation.
