The three-day Asia Pharma Expo-2020 began at the International Convention City, Bashundhara in Dhaka on Friday to showcase pharmaceutical technologies, and equipment.
The Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceuticals Industries in collaboration with GPE Expo Private Limited is holding the 12th version of the exposition, said a press release.
The prime minister’s adviser for private industry and investment Salman F Rahman inaugurated the exposition. Indian high commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das, BAPI president Nazmul Hassan, and Drug Administration director general Major General Mahbubur Rahman were also present, among others, at the inauguration ceremony.
Salman F Rahman said, ‘This Expo helps developing the pharmaceutical industry of Bangladesh and contributing significantly to Bangladesh’s economy.
Around 530 entities from 18 countries are participating in the expo while more than 11,000 trade visitors are expected to attend it.
