Professor Nazimuddin Ahmed, former principal of Rajshahi Medical College and Sylhet Medical College, died of old age complications in Rajshahi on Saturday night.
He was 83.
Professor Nazimuddin also headed pharmacology department of Dhaka Medical College, according to a press release.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, three daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and nine grandchildren.
His first and second namaz-e-janaza took place at Rajshahi Medical College premises and Hatem Khan Mosque in Rajshahi city.
His body was buried at Hatem Khan Graveyard in Rajshahi Sunday, said the release.
