1 — Tamim Iqbal became the first Bangladeshi player to score 13,000 international runs when he made 41 runs against Zimbabwe in the first innings at Mirpur on Sunday. Tamim was 27 short of achieving the feat and he struck pacer Charlton Tshuma for a boundary to cover region to reach the milestone. Tamim, however, needs 43 runs more to score 13,000 runs for Bangladesh as he scored 57 runs in four Twenty20 international matches while playing for World XI.


4 — Bangladesh pacer Abu Jayed’s 4-71 in the first innings against Zimbabwe was his best bowling figure in a Test innings. Jayed’s previous best bowling figure in a Test innings was 4-108 against India at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore last year.

71 — Left-handed batsman Nazmul Hossain on Sunday struck 71 off 139 balls which was his maiden fifty in Test cricket. Nazmul, who is playing his fourth Test, earlier made 44 runs against Pakistan in Rawalpindi this year which was his previous highest innings in Test cricket.


79 — Mominul Haque struck an unbeaten 79 off 120 balls against Zimbabwe on Sunday which was his maiden Test fifty as a skipper. Mominul’s previous highest Test innings as a skipper was against Pakistan when he made 41 runs in the second innings of Rawalpindi Test earlier this month.
