Bashundhara Kings dropped their first points in the league when the defending champions were held to a 1-1 by Bangladesh Police in their 12th Bangladesh Premier League match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
The other match of the day between Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra and Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society ended in a goalless draw at the same venue.
Forward Tawhidul Alam Sabuj gave Kings the lead in the 55th minute before defender Nurul Naium Faisal’s own goal helped Police to equalise in the 73rd minute.
Kings started their campaign with a 1-0 win against lowly Uttar Baridhara while newcomers Police conceded a 0-2 loss against Abahani Limited in their first game.
Sheikh Russell KC played 1-1draw against Brothers Union while Rahmatganj MFS suffered 0-1 defeat against Saif Sporting Club in their opening matches.
