DW to launch talk show starring Khalid Muhiuddin on Feb 28

German state-owned international broadcaster Deutsch Welle will launch a web talk show hosted by journalist Khalid Muhiuddin on February 28.

The weekly show titled Khalid Muhiuddin Jante Chay will be streamed live on Youtube channel of Deutsch Welle Bangla at 9:00pm every Friday after its launch.

On Wednesday, Debarati Guha, head of DW Asia, announced the talk show at a press conference in Dhaka city.

Khalid will conduct the show from Bonn, Germany and two guests from all around the world will join him via Skype to discuss current states of politics, economy, and society in Bangladesh and the world.

People from Bangladesh and anywhere in the world will be also able to join the show via Skype to express their opinions and ask questions.

Debarati said that DW stands for freedom of expression, human rights, women’s empowerment, justice and harmony of the community and the show would champion these values.

Truth, unity and equality will be the pillars of the show, she added.

Headquartered in Bonn, DW has been broadcasting since 1953. Its services are now available in 30 languages.
