Members of Bangladesh Navy and Fire Service and Civil Defence found the bodies of a woman and her son in the river Sarafvata at Rangunia in Chattogram on Tuesday morning, five days after a boat carrying them sank in the river Karnaphuli.
The deceased were Tumpa Majumder, 30, wife of Rajib Majumder and her son Bijoy Majumder, 5, residents of Mirsharai in Chattogram.
Kaptai UNO Ashraf Russel said that the bodies were found at about 9:30am.
On February 14, three people went missing after an engine-run boat with 53 members of ISKCON on board capsized in Kalar depot area in the river Karnaphuli in Rangamati.
Later, the divers found the body of Deblila, 10, from the river, but the bodies remained missing till Tuesday.
