Bangladesh reach recurve men’s team final

Bangladesh archers reached in the recurve men’s team event final of the Asia Cup-World Ranking Tournament Stage-three Test Event beating Malaysia by 5-3 set points in semi-final in Clark City, Philippines, on Thursday.

Bangladesh team comprised of Ruman Shana, Tamimul Islam and Hakim Ahmed Rubel will play the final against Chinese team comprised of Xiangshuo Qi, Zhenqi Shi and La Ta at 8:30 am Bangladesh standard time today.

In the semi-final, Shana, Tamimul and Rubel defeated Khairul Anuar, Akmal Nor Hasrin and Zarif Syahiir Zolkepeli of Malaysia after beating Thailand’s team of Witthaya Thamwong, Tanapat Pathairat and Denchai Thepna in the quarter-final also by 5-3 set points.

In the recurve mixed team event semi-finals, Bangladesh team comprised of Shana and Beauty Roy lost to Xinyan Zhang and Xiangshuo Qi of China by 0-6 set points.

Shana and Beauty will play for bronze final against Yu-Chen Yeh and Zih-Siang Lin of Chinese Taipei today.
