Dhallywood heart-throb Siam Ahmed is always looking to play the next atypical character.
After making his career debut in Dhallywood playing a romantic hero in Raihan Rafi directed Poramon 2 in 2018, Siam played a goon for hire in Rafi’s Dahan in the same year and afterwards, he mesmerised film lovers playing a language movement activist in Tauqir Ahmed directed Phagun Haway, which was released in February this year.
‘I want to have diverse characters under my belt. I believe actors should try to avoid getting stuck in a particular role,’ said Siam Ahmed in an interview with New Age.
‘I think film lovers like change and love to see their favourite actors in diverse roles. The audience slowly lose interest in an actor if he/she plays similar characters in every film,’ he added.
Siam is currently busy shooting for M Rahim’s upcoming film Shaan where he plays a young police officer. The film also stars Puja Cherry.
‘I really enjoy acting alongside Puja Cherry. She is a wonderful actress. I hope film lovers will go to cinemas to watch the film after its release,’ said Siam, who will act opposite Porimoni in his upcoming film Bishwa Shundari.
‘The shooting of Bishwa Shundari will begin in June after Eid-ul-Fitr. Porimoni is very popular among the film lovers. It will be a romantic film,’ Siam added.
When asked whether he has any plans for acting in small screen productions, Siam replied, ‘I have not acted in teleplays for last one year as I have been busy with films. I will think about acting in teleplays if am offered to play atypical character.’
