Bangladeshi archer Sheikh Sajib bagged bronze medal in the Compound Men’s Singles event of the third ISSF International Solidarity World Ranking Archery Championships at the Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Gazipur on Monday.
Sajib scored 143 points to beat Chinese archer Lin Che-Wei, who scored 142 to finish fourth.
Sajib pairing with Susmita Banik clinched another bronze medal in the compound mixed team event by scoring 148 points by beating Iranian pair Shkhan Waleed Hameed and Almashhadani Fatimah, who scored 144.
Ruman Sana and Dia Siddiquee pair beat Kazakh pair Sansyzbay Zaure and Kuzmin Andrey by 5-1 sets in the Recurve Mixed event to bring bronze for Bangladesh.
Indian archers got success in three individual events as Changmai Bishal bagged bronze in the Recurve Men’s Singles event while Bari Komalika and Pawar Isha Ketan clinched bronze medals in the Women’s Recurve and Compound Singles events respectively.
The gold medals of the events will be decided today.
