As happened before, state-run BTV and other private TV channels are not giving importance to children’s shows in their week-long Eid-ul-Azha special programmes.
Except for the Duranta TV, a dedicated channel for the children, other TV channels are running maximum one show for the children.
Even these shows will run during the off-pick hours like early morning or at noon. One of the most attractive shows will be the eight-episode detective drama series Kaku Jakhan Comillay, directed by Afzal Hossain. It will be aired from the Eid eve to the seventh day of the festival at 06:10pm every day.
The channel will air Morshedul Islam’s juvenile film Ankhi O Tar Bandhura at 10:15pm on the Eid day.
Duranta TV will air films, dramas, game shows, magic shows, reality shows and others from the Eid eve.
It will air five blockbuster children’s films, including, Ice Age, Madeline, The Smurfs 2, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Hotel Transylvania respectively from the Eid day onwards at 10:00pm every day.
ATN Bangla will air Eider Khushi and Ananda Hillol respectively at 01:30pm and 02:20pm on the Eid day. It will air puppet magazine show No Chinta Do Phurti at 01:30pm on Thursday, dance show Payel Bajey at the same time on Friday, music show Eid-e Eid-e Gaan at 02:20pm on Saturday, magazine programme Amra Korbo Joy 01:30pm on Sunday.
Maasranga TV will air the Bangla dubbed Indian cartoon series Motu Patlu at 09:00am every day while RTV will air Sisimpur at 10:05pm daily.
