Bangladeshi diaspora living at Newcastle in Australia on Sunday formed a human chain to express their solidarity with the ongoing movement of the students in Bangladesh against anarchy in transport sector.

They, including students and professionals, gathered together at Jesmond Park on Sunday at 12:30pm holding posters and placards demanding justice, said a press release issued by the organisers.

They said reckless driving is killing many people in Bangladesh while currently students are carrying out peaceful protest to draw out government’s attention to fix the issue.

‘We the Bangladeshi community in New Castle are expressing our solidarity in the movement,’ said the release.
