The High Court Division on Thursday set Sunday for giving its order on former prime minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s bail petition.
On February 25, a bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Shahidul Karim heard her bail petition but kept the order pending until getting the case records from the trial court.
On February 22, the bench asked the trial court to send the case records to it within 15 days since getting the copy of its order.
On Thursday, her lawyer Zainul Abedin pointed out to the bench that the trial court did not send the case records to the High Court Division though the 15-day deadline expired on Wednesday.
Zainul sought granting of bail to the former prime minister without further waiting for the case records.
Anti-Corruption Commission’s lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan said that the 15-day deadline for sending case records would expire on Sunday.
