The France chapter of the National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Port held a convention to protect the Sunderbans in Paris on August 13.
A 15-member new committee of the chapter was also formed at the convention.
The member secretary of the National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Port, Anu Muhammad, attended the convention as principal speaker. Ganasanghati Andolan central coordinator Zonayed Saki also attended the programme.
Anu Muhammad said the movement for environment in Bangladesh now has become a global movement. It is no more remain confined in Bangladesh, he said.
‘It could be possible as we tried to make people understand every issue providing them information data, and research findings. And we could be able to make them understand the issues,’ he said.
