A suspected robber was killed and four policemen injured during a ‘gunfight’ between a robber gang and police at Bibirhat of Ramgati in Lakshmipur early Saturday.

The deceased is identified as Mizanur Rahman, son of Abdus Salam, a resident of Jiarchar in the upazila.

Officer-in-charge of Ramgati police station M Iqbal Hossain said a gang of robbers was taking preparation to commit robbery at Bibirhat in the early hours on Saturday.
