Eight robbers held in Magura

Police early Friday arrested eight robbers while they were fleeing after commiting robbery at Phulbaria in Magura.
Magura additional superintendent of police Tariqul Islam said the robbers were fleeing along with six cows in a truck from Lakshmikhola village in Phulbaria at about 3:00am.
The robbers exploded crude bombs and attacked the villagers while they were being chased, Tariqul said.
At one stage of chasing, the villagers caught the robbers and gave them a good beating.
Later, police went to the spot and arrested the robbers, he said.
Three people, including the owner of the cows, Rabiul Islam, were injured in robbers attack, the additional SP said.
The robbers were identified as Abdul Latif, 32, of Islampur in Jamalpur, Sabuj, 32, of Faridpur, Munna, 30, Didar, 36, Rezaul, 30, Jamal, 30, Kamal, 20, and Jalal, 30, of Pabna.
Filing of a case against the robbers was in process, the additional SP said.
The injured were admitted to Magura Sadar
Hospital.
