Speakers at a discussion in Rajshahi city on Friday said the digitalisation of public and private sectors will help Bangladesh achieve its vision of reaching the middle income country status by 2021 from the current status and it will also help the country achieve double digit growth within next few years.
They also said the technological advancement in Bangladesh is increasing day by day as the young generation is adopting technological advancement rapidly.
The speakers said these while they were addressing the inaugural session of ‘Digital Innovation Fair-2017’ at Rajshahi Collage playground.
Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the three-day fair. Obaidul Quader, also the general secretary of ruling Awami League, said the present government has been working relentlessly for reaching all civic services to the doorsteps of the people in a hassle-free manner.
Latest ICT products, multi-media classroom, mobile banking and e-learning items put on display in around 64 stalls and three pavilions at the fair.
Rajshahi divisional commissioner office arranged the fair in collaboration with information and communication technology division and A2I of prime minister’s office with a view to encourage people to use information and communication technology for building ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
