Seminar on archaeological studies held at ULAB

Centre for Archaeological Studies of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh organised a seminar on Bengal’s Contribution to Jaina Sculptural Art: The Introduction of Dikpalas as Subsidiary Figures on the campus in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Vice-chancellor HM Jahirul Haque gave the welcome speech while Gerd JR Mevissen, a Germany based specialist on ancient Indian art, architecture and iconography and editor of several international research journals was the keynote speaker, said a release.

University professor and Centre for Archaeological Studies director Shahnaj Husne Jahan and other national experts spoke during the event.

Faculty members and students of different departments of ULAB were present at the seminar.
