Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday alleged that the government’s move was on to submit a different report on the health condition of the party chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia to the Supreme Court through changing the report prepared by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University authorities.
He made the allegation a day before the Appellate Division is scheduled to hear the bail application of Khaleda Zia in a graft case and the BSMMU authorities is scheduled to submit a report on Khaleda’s health before the apex court.
Fakhrul, addressing as the chair at a hotel in the capital marking the International Human Rights Day, said that the medical board’s report sought by the SC was yet to come.
He read out a report prepared by the BSMMU vice-chancellor on November 30 and said that the report mentioned that Khaleda was at ‘cripple stage’ and she needed better treatment.
