Ceramic expo gets $5.5m order, 3-day expo ends

The three-day Ceramic Expo Bangladesh 2019 in Dhaka got $5.5 million order from six companies of five countries, said Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers and Exporters Association on Saturday.

At the closing ceremony of the expo at Radisson Blu hotel on Saturday, BCMEA general secretary Irfan Uddin said their next expo would be held in 2021.

It was the second international expo that began on December 5 at Bashundhara International Conversation Centre.

Marking the closing of the expo an Exhibitor Night was held where different ceramic industries were awarded on different perspectives.

Bank reform adviser of Bangladesh Bank SK Sur Chowdhury among others was present.

At least 150 ceramics brands from 20 countries participated in the second expo, said the association’s president Shirajul Islam Mollah.
