‘Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders’. Noted actress, model and painter Bipasha Hayat is a firm believer in the saying.

Bipasha, who has been working for the welfare of underprivileged children for a while, has recently been appointed the goodwill ambassador for Save the Children in Bangladesh.

The actress shared her thoughts and upcoming projects with an interview with New Age.

‘I have always wanted to do something which would benefit the underprivileged children in society. I have been trying to spread awareness about the plight of these children using social media,’ said Bipasha Hayat.

‘Besides using social media, I have appealed to the people on several occasions through teleplays and interviews to help protect the rights of underprivileged children. The sad thing is whenever I asked others to work with me for helping the children, no one really showed up,’ she added.

Bipasha Hayat’s dream came true on Sunday when she signed a memorandum of understanding in the presence of Save the Children in Bangladesh’s country director Mark Pierce.

‘I have been looking for the support of an organisation for a while. So after I became the goodwill ambassador, I cried with happiness. I am thankful to the almighty for giving me the opportunity,’ said Bipasha Hayat.

Bipasha Hayat is also working as the ambassador of Vaseline Healing Project, a global aid effort which provides dermatological care for people affected by poverty or emergencies around the world.

When asked about her upcoming projects, Bipasha replied, ‘I have finished the shooting for a TVC which will be aired soon. Besides, I have written a script of a film and getting ready to participate in art exhibitions.’
