Finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Monday left the capital for Ankara to attend the 5th meeting of the Bangladesh-Turkey Joint Economic Commission.
The meeting will be held on November 19-20, according to the tour schedule of the finance minister issued by the finance ministry on Sunday.
The meeting will discuss the ways for increasing bilateral trade and investment.
The minister will lead the Bangladesh delegation team comprising economic relations division secretary Monawar Ahmed and other officials.
The tour schedule also features a roundtable meeting on Turkey-Bangladesh business council on November 21.
The last meeting of the joint economic commission took place in Dhaka on 11-12 November 2012.
The two countries signed a bilateral protocol on trade and investment in 2012.
Mustafa Kamal is scheduled to return to the capital on November 24.
