Police on Monday arrested a staff member of Chattogram office of Bangladesh Election Commission in connection with a case filed over issuance of National Identity Cards to the Rohingyas, the displaced minority people of Myanmar.
The arrested is Md Nazim, a peon of the office.
Nazim was arrested as his involvement was exposed in the confessions of the people held earlier in connection with the case, said Chattogram Metropolitan Police counter terrorism unit inspector Rajesh Barua.
He said that police arrested 10 people so far in the case filed with Kotwali police station on September 17.
