The Anti-Corruption Commission on Sunday summoned 12 officials and employees of the Directorate General of Health Services for interrogation over their alleged corruption.
An ACC team, led by its deputy director M Samsul Alam, would interrogate them on November 24 and 26 at its head office, said ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee.
The accused are Faridpur Medical College Hospital former director Abul Kalam Azad, Tangail Medical College Hospital secretary Saiful Islam, Kushtia 250-bed General Hospital storekeeper Safayet Hossian Faiz, DGHS driver Shajahan, Rajshahi civil surgeon office accountant Anwar Hossain, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital senior storekeeper
Rafiqul Islam, Kurigram general hospital accountant Abdul Majid, Satkhira Medical College Hospital lab assistant Subrata Kumar Das, Khulna Medical College accountant Maftun Ahmed, DGHS accounts officer Mojibul Haque, its office assistants Tofail Ahmed and Kamrul Islam.
The commission asked them to come to ACC with photocopies of their National Identity Cards and Tax Identification Number certificates.
