Bangladesh national football team beat Muscat Club of Oman 3-1 in their lone warm-up match on Thursday for their Group E World Cup 2022 qualifying match against Oman on November 14.
Forward Nabib Newaz Jiban gave Bangladesh the lead in the 12th minute before Tareq restored the parity for Muscat five minute later.
Midfielder Biplu Ahmed doubled the lead for the winners in the 28th minute while super-sub Tawhidul Alam Sabuz extended the winning margin in the 65th minute.
Bangladesh coach Jamie Day fielded a starting eleven except midfielder Rakib Hossain, who earlier replaced Jewel Rana to become the only change in the final 23-man squad from the previous qualifiers against India and Qatar in the last month.
The English coach gave chances all his charges with making as many as 11 changes in the second half.
Ashraful Islam Rana was the first choice for goalkeeping before he was replaced by Anisur Rahman Zico during the break.
Shahidul Alam Shohel replaced Zico in the second half and denied a penalty in the 73rd minute.
Muscat were reduced to 10-man in the 82nd minute when their captain received a red card.
