Konttho, Begum Jaan to hit cinemas

Local film Begum Jaan and Indian Bengali film Konttho are going to hit local cinemas today.

Begum Jaan has been written and directed by Mohammad Aslam and produced by Mohammad Farooq, Sohrab Hossen and Fatema Siddiqui.

The film stars Nishat Zarin Orin, Mamnun Hasan Emon, Shirin Shila, Tanin Subha, Saif Khan and others.

The story of the film revolves around a daughter of a drug dealer who grows up seeing her father’s dark side. Later she starts her own drug business.

Indian film Konttho has been jointly directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. The film was released in Kolkata, India on May 10, 2019.

The film will be released in Bangladesh under the SAFTA agreement.

The film revolves around the life and struggles of a cancer survivor named Arjun Mallik.

Arjun is a radio jockey. His wife, Pritha, is a voice artiste as well. Things were going well for the couple, until Arjun is diagnosed with laryngeal cancer.

The film starts Jaya Ahsa,n Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Paoli Dam, Chitra Sen, Konnenika, Bandyopadhyay, Biplab Dasgupta, Jimmy Tangree and others.
