A brick kiln worker was killed in Thakurgaon by Indian Border Security Forces on Sunday night, alleged his family.
Border Guard Bangladesh, however, said they were not confirmed about the matter but trying to contract with the BSF.
Family members said the BSF took away the body on Monday morning.
Family members said Srikant Singh, 32, son of Kheloram Singh of Kalcha village in Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon was shot dead along the border when he was crossing Kandhal border on Sunday night.
His brother Kalukant Singh said Srikant used to work in a brick kiln in India’s Punjab state.
He was crossing the border on Sunday night when BSF of Kochabari camp opened fire on him, leaving him dead on the spot.
The body of Srikant was lying whole night inside Indian land near the border demarcation pillar number 359. BSF personnel took away the body from the area, said Kalukant.
BGB assistant commanding officer Major Raj Mahmud in Thakurgaon said they were unaware about the incident and trying to communicate with the BSF.
