Jatiya Party chairman GM Quader on Monday laid stress on safeguarding the lost heritage of student politics and proclaimed his party’s goal to foster students as the torch-bearers of the nation.
Addressing a view exchange programme held at the party’s Banani office, he said all political parties must stop exploiting students as tools to pursue their own political goals.
He said HM Ershad never used students for political purposes. He urged Jatiya Chhatra Samaj activists to follow him as a role model.
He instructed them to hold Jatiya Chhatra Samaj’s council by November 15.
A monitoring cell comprising 6 members was also announced during the programme to guide the party’s student wing to hold its council without troubles.
Jatiya Party presidium members Ziauddin Bablu, Syed Abu Hossain Babla, Sunil Shuvo Roy and others were present in the programme.
