2 docus of Reshmi Ahmed screened at Goethe-Institut

Two documentary films of woman filmmaker Reshmi Ahmed namely ‘Depannita - A Lady with Versatile Talents’ and ‘My Protest’ were screened at Goethe-Institut auditorium in Dhanmondi on Sunday.

The films were screened as part of the ‘Through Her Eyes’ series, which promotes Bangladeshi women filmmakers and their works.

Goethe-Institut Bangladesh, in cooperation with the International Film Initiative of Bangladesh, organised the programme.

The screening featured a Q&A session where Reshmi Ahmed answered questions of the audience. It was moderated by National Award winning documentary maker Shabnam Ferdousi.

‘I find immense joy and satisfaction in capturing the untold stories and emotions of people of our country.  I still believe that my journey is yet to begin and I am eagerly waiting for that time. I want to thank the International Film Initiative of Bangladesh and Goethe-Institut Bangladesh for initiating Through Her Eyes platform for promoting women filmmakers of Bangladesh,’ said Reshmi Ahmed.
