Bangladesh Open University on Sunday cancelled all examinations and registration of the Bachelor of Arts examination of Tamanna Nusrat Bubli, ruling Awami League lawmaker for reserved seats for women, over her involvement in the examination malpractice.
‘She won’t be allowed in any examination under the university again,’ said the university vice-chancellor MA Mannan.
The decision was taken after a proxy of Tamanna was identified at Narsingdi Government College centre sat for the examination on Saturday.
On Sunday a meeting was held on the issue and decisions were also taken to send her a show cause notice for explaining the matter, the vice-chancellor said.
He also said that a four-member committee was formed on the day to submit a report within next three days.
‘The committee will investigate the matter and if it finds proof then legal action would be taken against the lawmaker, the proxies and the college authorities,’ he added.
