Between January 2001 and December 2016, registration of 90 NGOs was cancelled on different grounds, Matia said while replying to a question of independent lawmaker Abdul Matin.
Scripted answer of Matia shows that registration of 88 NGOs was cancelled in 2010 and one each in 2014 and 2016.
It also shows that 75 NGOs got registration in 2016 and 372 NGOs got registration between 2011 and 2015, 565 NGOs got registration between 2006 and 2010, 343 NGOs got registration between 2001 and 2005.
