Visiting India women’s A team completed a clean sweep victory over their Bangladesh counterparts in a three-match one-day series when they recorded a seven-wicket win in the third and final match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Tuesday.
Sanjida Islam scored an unbeaten 44 off 87 balls while Mursida Khatun made 33 but Bangladesh A team could not accumulate more than 128 runs before they were all out in 44.4 overs.
Tanushree Sarkar and Rashi Kanojia claimed three wickets each for India A while Devika Vadiya grabbed two wickets.
Opener Yastika Bhatia gave the visitors a strong start with 48 off 91 runs before she was run out by Khadiza Tul Kubra.
Kubra earlier dismissed Sabbhineni Meghana for 19 to give Bangladesh A team their first breakthrough while Shaila Sharmin trapped Tanushree in front for three.
But player of the contest Devika stood firm to stay unbeaten on 42, guiding India A to 132-3 in 39.3 overs.
India A won the first match by eight wickets on Friday and second match by 68 runs on Sunday.
The two teams will now compete in a three-match Twenty20 series, starting on October 11 in Cox’s Bazar.
