Recitation troupe Rhydhoshawre Abritti Academy celebrated its 7th founding anniversary organising a recitation programme held on Sunday at Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium of Sufia Kamal National Public Library.
The programme titled ‘Kochi konthe kothar jadu’ featured staging of poetry recitation, discussion and others.
Sammilita Sangskritik Jote president Ghulam Quddus was present as the chief guest, while secretary of Bangladesh Abritti Samannay Parishad Maskur-e-Sattar Kallol, Bangladesh Abritti Samannay Parishad and others were present as special guests.
The programme was presided over by Rhydhoshawre Abritti Academy director Sharmin Islam Jui.
‘Today’s children are our future leaders. If they get proper education along with cultural practices, they will be assets for our country,’ said Ghulam Quddus.
Following the discussion, the artistes of the academy recited poems like Ghorar Dim, Nandalal, Jiboner Hishab, Kajla Didi and Gof Churi.
Mridhul, Adiba, Amrin, Jahin, Dibpro, Adib, Samir, Sanjida recited Lutfor Rahman Riton’s poem Ghorar Dim.
Sikti, Afra, Hamna, Sharfin, Nidhi recited Jatindramohan Bagchi’s poem Kajla didi.
Abritti, Amrin, Jahin, Nidhi, Fayez recited Dwijendralal Ray’s poem Nandlal.
Mridhul, Dibpro and Adiba recited Sukumar Ray’s poem Jiboner Hisab.
Besides, artistes Himadri Morshed, Rafia Sultana, Abu Bakar Daud, Shamim Ahsan, Ahmed Shuvo, Abdur Rahaman Titumir, Abdur Rahman Tarek, Abdus Salam, Md Ishak Ali, Hasnain Anjum and Ismail Hossain recited their self-penned poems to the delight of the audience.
‘I have enjoyed the show. Such programmes should be organised throughout the year,’ Suhat Chowdhury, an audience member, told New Age.
Mirpur-based Rhydhoshawre Abritti Academy began its journey on 2013.
