The orientation programme of North South University for Fall 2019 semester was held on the campus in Dhaka on Saturday.

Around one thousand students got enrolled in the Honours course in 16 departments under four different schools and 31 students got scholarships for outstanding results in the admission test, said a release.

Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan was present as the chief guest while NSU board of trustees chairman and freedom fighter Benajir Ahmed was present as special guest during the orientation ceremony. Vice-chancellor Atiqul Islam presided over the programme.

Board of trustee members MA Hashem, MA Kashem, Azim Uddin Ahmed, Yasmin Kamal, pro-vice-chancellor M Ismail Hossain, deans of different schools, directors, senior officials, teachers, students, and guardians were present, among others.
