The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia made an assistant professor officer on special duty for violating university rules and regulations.
A press release signed by IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif was issued in this regard on Friday morning.
IU vice-chancellor professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari made assistant professor M Sazzadur Rahman Titu OSD as he took three examinations of an evening course student in a day at the storeroom of law department without any invigilator on Wednesday.
The university authorities also issued a show-cause notice to Titu asking him to submit his response within seven working days.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif told New Age that they formed a three-member probe body, headed by law faculty dean professor Reba Mondol, to investigate into the allegation.
The other members of the probe body were — syndicate member professor M Mahbubar Rahman and IU business administration faculty dean professor Kazi Akhtar Hossain.
Denying the allegation, Sazzadur Rahmant Titu claimed that he was not present on the campus on that day. He was unaware of such incident.
IU VC said that they had already released Titu from all kinds of academic and administrative activities and legal action would be taken against him after getting full reports from the probe body.
