Khelaghar will organise a two-day national conference and cultural festival on September 20 and 21 at the Music and Dance Centre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
The festival will feature discussions, cultural shows and others, said speakers at a press conference held on Wednesday at National Press Club.
Chairman of the organisation Professor Panna Kaiser, Dhaka University Sanskrit department professor Niranjan Adhikari and others were present at the press conference.
The speakers hoped that the upcoming festival will play an important role in making the masses aware about issues like child abuse, dengue and others.
National Professor Anisuzzaman will inaugurate the festival on Friday. Posts and telecommunications minister Mustafa Jabbar and vice chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman, among others, will attend the opening day’s programme.
Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Kaler Kantha editor Imdadul Haq Milan, Dhaka University pro-vice-chancellor Muhammad Samad, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy director general Liaquat Ali Lucky and others are scheduled to attend the closing ceremony on Saturday.
