Bangladesh forward Tohura Khatun squandered a chance in the third minute when her shot from right-side of the six-yard box rebounded from the crosspiece.
Thailand forward Suchavadee Chomoaeng missed a penalty in the 86th minute after Bangladesh defender Akhi Khatun brought down Chomoaeng inside the box.
Bangladesh will face Japan in their next match at the IPE Chonburi Stadium on September 18.
