Bangladesh girls’ suffered third defeat in the Air Asia Women’s Junior (Under-21) AHF Cup 2019 when they lost to Uzbekistan 0-6 in their fourth match at the Sengkang Hockey Stadium in Singapore on Saturday.
Khasanboeva Zulfiyakhon scored two field goals in the second and 15th minutes before Adizova Sabina added another goal from a penalty corner in the 17th minute.
Ramazonova Gulrukh made it 5-0 by scoring two field goals in the 30th and 45th minutes before Kakhramonova Shakhrizoda completed the rout with another field goal in the 54th minute.
In their next game, Bangladesh will face Chinese Taipei at the same venue today.
With the day’s result, Bangladesh remained in fifth-place in the six-team tournament with three points from four matches with one win against three defeats.
Uzbekistan were in the second place with seven points from four matches while hosts Singapore were leading the table with 12 points from same number of outings.
The top two teams of the competition will qualify for the Women’s Junior Asia Cup scheduled to be held in Japan in October 2020.
