The Bangladesh Cricket Board added left-arm pacer Abu Hider in their squad before the second match against Afghanistan of the ongoing tri-nation Twenty20 series, scheduled to be held in Mirpur today.
Hider’s inclusion on Saturday raised the number of players of Bangladesh’s current Twenty20 squad to 14 after the BCB had earlier announced a 13-member squad for the first two matches of the tournament.
Hider was part of Bangladesh’s previous Twenty20 squad against West Indies for the three-match Twenty20 series last year, where he ended with picking up one wicket in three-matches.
BCB sources said Hider was included in the team as back up to uncapped pacer Yeasin Arafat, who had been suffering from side injury.
Squad: Sakib al Hasan (capt), Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Afif Hossain, Mosaddek Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Taijul Islam, Mahedi Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mustafizur Rahman, Yeasin Arafat and Abu Hider.
