Border Guard Bangladesh soldiers of Amrakhali check post detained an Indian carrying $ 25,000, Tk 3,770 and 1.5 kg jewellery, a mobile phone, 4 sets of three-pieces, a saree and 3 shirts in Jashore on Wednesday.
BGB commanding officer Selim Reza said Rakesh Mandal, in his fifties from village Sarakhali at Dattapukur thana of 24 Parganas district of West Bengal in India, was travelling by a Dhaka-bound AC coach at about 11:40am.
Selim said the man kept the money inside his shoe.A case for laundering money was filed against the man, he said.
