Bangladeshi shot dead in New York

A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead and two others were injured in an attack by ‘miscreants’ at Jamaica in New York on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Shahed Uddin, 27, son of Babar Uddin, president of Muktijoddha Dal US unit, reports US-based Bangladeshi news portal Khabor.com quoting New York police.

Two rival groups were locked into a scuffle in front of a night club in 130 Street Richmond Hill at about 4:30am (local time).

Shahed was shot during the scuffle and died on the spot. Among the injured, one is a resident of Sylhet and another is a black man.

No-one was arrested in this connection.
